Cricket Betting Preview
In the second T20 cricket semi-final battle Australia confront the West Indies in a bid for a place in Sunday’s final. Australia are favourites in cricket betting to book their place in the ultimate match. But it seems throughout the tournament they have relied heavily on just one man’s efforts. Shane Watson won all four of the man of the match awards, and when he was dismissed by Pakistan in their Super Eight match it seemed the rest of the Australian batting order crumbled.
But the Aussie’s are at odds of 8/11 going into this match for victory in Colombo and they will be determined to eliminate Chris Gayle and his men, who seem to be a rejuvenated side during this tournament. Gayle has so far his 10 sixes in five matches and has scored two 50’s, he can be great on his day, with the ability to tear apart his opponents bowling attack. He leads in cricket betting for the top West Indies batsman at odds of 15/8, followed by team mates Johnson Charles and Marlon Samuels priced at 7/2.

Watson will play a key role in the Australian set up and is at odds of 2/1 to be their top batsman for this match. Watson is actually far ahead of Gayle having scored 242 runs in five matches, along with 11 wickets, and will probably become the favourite to win the Player of the Tournament award following Sunday’s final, but they’ve got to get there first.
Both sides have some weaknesses of course and this could make for an exciting match with some great cricket betting opportunities. The West Indies’ pace is a little inferior compared to Australia’s and they will want to make that their priority during this match. Australia’s main issue is their lack of match time for their middle-order batsmen. But it’s cricket and all that counts is how it goes for the team on the day, so we could have a fantastic final on our hands come Sunday.
